It’s been fantastic hearing about all the incredible results my students have achieved as they dive back into show season! Their winter homework is truly paying off.

At the Loudoun Hunt Pony Club Spring Horse Trials, Nan Schumaker and La Cosa Nostra clinched 2nd in Training Rider-A. Meanwhile, Alicia Turner with Key Play, Wendy Masemer with Center Lane, and Ashley Beheler with Kirika showcased superb horsemanship throughout the weekend.

Over at the Waredaca Spring Horse Trials, Peter Foley’s Boston and I tackled Training level for the first time ever. Boston performed well on course, and I am very proud of the work this horse has put it. Additionally, my students Wendy and her horse Center Lane, along with Megan Reuwer and Some Me Time, secured top ten finishes in Open Training and Novice Rider-B, respectively.

Two weekends ago, #TeamSSB really showed up to the MDHT Highland Series Horse Trials! Massive congrats to my outstanding students on their stellar performances. Ashley Beheler and Kirika secured 2nd in Beginner Novice-A, while Erin Harrington and Vitez clinched a solid 4th in Beginner Novice-C. Cyndy Mackey and Seattle Reign galloped to a fantastic 3rd in Novice-C, and Wendy Masemer and Piper rode to a commendable 5th in Beginner Novice-B. Megan Reuwer showcased top-notch rides, clinching 4th with Some Me Time and 6th with VSH Rafalko in Beginner Novice-B. Finally, Nan Schumaker and La Cosa Nostra took the crown with a 1st in Training-A.

This past weekend, Megan and Cyndy excelled at the Full Moon Farm Spring Thing Horse Trials, while Alicia Turner and Wendy triumphed at the Hunt Club Farm Starter Horse Trials. Megan bagged a 1st in the Open Beginner Novice Combined Test with VSH Rafalko, while Cyndy and Seattle Reign secured a wonderful 2nd in Open Training. Alicia and Key Play earned a well-deserved 2nd in Training, and a big congrats to Wendy and Piper for their 1st in Beginner Novice-B.

Hats off to my students who showcased their talents at the CDCTA Spring Horse Trials! It was all about Open Training this weekend, and they certainly delivered. Suze Cornue displayed impeccable form, securing a 3rd place with Cubic Sound in Open Training-2, and another 3rd with Korbin in Open Training-1. Kai Bradley and Diamonds Forever galloped to a solid 5th in Open Training-1, while Wendy Masemer and Center Line dazzled their way to a top ten finish in the same division.

What a great weekend at the Morven Park Spring Horse Trials! Being back in the competition ring after a winter hiatus felt fantastic. Boston, owned by Peter Foley, showed tremendous spirit for his first event of the season, securing a commendable 7th place in Open Novice-A amidst stiff competition.

Watching my students ride is always a joy. Kudos to Julie Bigham and Accomplice for clinching 1st in Senior Training Rider-A, Suze Cornue for her impressive 3rd in Open Novice on Korbin and 8th in Open Training-A with Cubic Sound, Nan Schumaker and La Cosa Nostra for their solid 6th in Open Novice, and Katie Wherley and Grateful Heart for their well-earned 8th place finish in Open Intermediate.

And last but never least, last weekend at the MDHT Highland Series Horse Trials Erin Harrington and Vitez brought home a 2nd place in the Beginner Novice Combined Test.

Team SSB had a solid showing at the MDHT Starter Trials. I was in the saddle riding Peter Foley’s Boston and secured a commendable 6th place in Training-B. It’s incredibly rewarding to witness Boston’s progress and increasing confidence at every event, especially as we work towards moving up the levels in this sport.

In addition, huge congratulations to student Vera Fontana, who achieved an impressive 2nd place in Introductory-A with Olympiad. It’s great to see the hard work paying off!

Team SSB had an absolute blast at the Waredaca Classic Three-Day! What an incredible couple days of riding and learning. Thank you to all of the volunteers and organizers who make this event possible.

This weekend held a particularly special place in our hearts. Alicia Turner set a goal six months ago – the Waredaca Classic Three-Day. I am ecstatic to share that Alicia and Key Play secured an impressive 2nd place in the Novice Three-Day. The hard work and dedication put into preparing for this moment truly paid off! What a fantastic result!

Speaking of fantastic results, major props to Nan Schumaker and La Cosa for their impressive 2nd in Training Rider. Jeannette Lussi and Rock’N’Ranger nailed it with a fabulous 2nd in Novice Rider-A. And big shoutouts to Dayna Blumel with Row the Boat and Wendy Masemer with Piper for their top ten finishes in Open Beginner Novice and Open Novice, respectively.

What a fantastic couple of weekends for Team SSB!

This past weekend Brooke Burchianti and Cooley Space Grey put in some hard work at the Maryland 5 Star! I am so proud of this team! They finished top 20 in the CCI3-L and top 20 in the USEF National CCI3-L Championships!

Erin Murphy deserves a special mention for her remarkable achievement at Morven Park International two weekends ago. Riding Colleen McCarthy’s Jackson Maine, Erin secured a well-deserved 2nd place in the Open-Preliminary-A category.

And the riders out at the MDHT Fall Starter Horse Trials #1 also rode beautifully! Brittany Hebets Miller, riding Rosie, clinched a notable 2nd place in Beginner Novice-A and continued her success by securing another 2nd place in Beginner Novice-B, this time riding Stormtrooper. Vera Fontana excelled in the Introductory Combined Test, riding Olympiad to a stunning victory. She also impressed with Proud Mary in the Beginner Novice Combined Test, achieving a commendable 2nd place. Adding to the achievements, Skyeler Voss rode Nautical 54 to a 2nd place finish in the Novice-A category.

The weekend was filled with promise and fantastic results. Keep up the excellent work!

It’s been an incredible couple of weeks for Stephen Bradley Eventing, filled with outstanding performances!

Two weekends ago at Unionville International, Brooke Burchianti and Cooley Space Grey secured a stellar fifth-place finish in the CCI4-S, while Rebecca Lee and Elton B showcased their prowess with a fantastic fourth place in the CCI1-S-A.

At the Marlborough Starter Horse Trials, Brittany had some great rides. And she ended the weekend with a second place in Training Horse with Island Nominee and fifth place with Rosie in Beginner Novice.

I’m thrilled also to announce that Katherine Rizzo made a triumphant return to the show ring at the Marlborough Starter Horse Trials after overcoming a broken foot. She finished fourth on Red in Introductory.

Out at Old Tavern Horse Trials, Jeannette Lussi and Rock’N’Ranger secured a fantastic win in Senior Novice Rider. Congratulations to Erin Murphy who finished with a fourth place with Hemisphere in Open Beginner Novice and fifth place with Traditional Hat Man. And finally big shout out to Molly Sherman and Winsome’s third place in Preliminary Rider!

I was also out at Old Tavern with Peter Foley’s Boston, and I must say, Boston put in some confident work. It’s a privilege to work with such a talented horse.
